Zellweger in Second Hangover?
October 7th 2010 08:18
This might see like old news, but it’s worth mentioning. Renee Zellweger, Academy Award winner, may star in the sequel to the hit comedy movie 'The Hangover', according to British newspaper The Sun. A source close (don’t you just love those sources that are close – I have a few close sources, too, we play racquetball together) to Zellweger's boyfriend Bradley Cooper said that the actor had been lobbying to get the actress on board. Cooper
appeared in last year's smash-hit and the source said, "Renee loves the first movie and this just gives her and Brad a reason to hang out together on set".
The original film, which was a critical and commercial success, became one of the most successful movies of 2009, and grossed over $467 million worldwide.
It followed the story of four friends who travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, only to wake up the next morning not remembering a thing. If Zellweger joins the cast of the follow-up, it is expected that she will play a girl who the group meet during another wild night.
35-year-old Cooper, who played the groom's best friend in the original movie, told Entertainment Tonight about his relationship with Zellweger, saying, "I love acting with her. I can't say enough about her. I just love her". The actress' most recent film was the comedy drama 'My Own Love Song', which premiered in the US back in April 2010.
