Movie Roar - Hear the Movies Roar!

Twilight's Eclipse Xavier Samuel

July 19th 2009 15:09

Twilight’s New Moon sequel is all set to be a huge part of Comic-con 2009. At the same time casting news for Twilight’s third installment, Eclipse, begins to trickle out with an barely known Australian actor named Xavier Samuel.

Summit has signed Samuel on as the “newborn vampire” in Eclipse.

Apparently Riley is a good looking college student (aren’t they all) and he joins the Victoria’s plan to murder Bella. Riley is corrupted by Victoria, whom he has enigmatic weakness.

The major story line for Eclipse is the choice Bella has to make between werewolf Jacob and vampire Edward. It’s tough hanging around vampires and werewolves. I am sure after Comic-con we’ll know more about Eclipse.

That is SSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Awesome. Xavier is one of my favourite Australian actors who starred in Newcastle and September. I hope he makes it big time, he definately deserves it.
Thanks for letting us know!!

This is the main storyline for the second installment. From now to the end of the book series that theme is always there but her love for Ed is paramount - it is Bella's desire that Vampires and Warewolves need to get along because she loves them both. Jacob more as a brother though.

Newcastle should just have come out on DVD over there and if you can track down September it is worth it for it's isolated tale of country life - it's very arty.

Newcastle was my favorite film from Australia last year and has been one of my SPOTLIGHT posts since then - if you want to read about it clickety click HERE.

Compared to other Australian actors he is very UNKNOWN but he makes up for it by being incredibly talented and I am sure he will go far.

Wow - I didn't even realise I was writing when September came out but I did find the review I wrote back then. This explains a bit about his first big Aussie film - although it was in no ways big it was a great role for him to start with.
