Depp Deciding on Tourist

Johnny Depp is in talks to join Angelina Jolie in The Tourist, a film that is going through so many casting and directing changes, but will be in production this February.
If Depp joined Jolie, he would play an American tourist drawn into a web of intrigue and danger by a female Interpol agent (Jolie) as she attempts to locate a criminal who was once her lover.
You may be asking yourself, wait…I thought Sam Worthington was playing this part or Tom Cruise. You’re thoughts are correct but changes happen in the film biz fast and furious. Even Charlie Theron was attached to play Jolie’s part.
I am not sure about all the directors that have come and gone, but Alfonso Curaron is at the head of the line to take on this juicy and plum gig if he chooses to do so.
I like the idea of Depp and Jolie working together on a spy thriller. Don’t you?

The basic plot had an alien in the guise of a sexy, successful corporate woman, Grace, trapped on earth trying to get back to her home planet. It turns out there are thousands of aliens on earth all in disguise. Grace ends up seraching in a subterranean lowlife realm trying to find an elusive alien who apparently has a way of leaving earth, but will Grace find him. Along the way she indulges her weird sexual fetishes ...
Men in Black is an example of a movie that has used one of the concepts from The Tourist (aliens hiding out on earth in disguise).

He should turn it into a science fiction book. Like Three Days of the Condor author did. Once he wrote the book, got published, sold the screenwrites and handed over the script.
