The King's Speech Trailer is Finally Here
September 24th 2010 04:44
On the heels of winning Toronto International Film Festival's People's Choice award, we finally get to see and hear The King’s Speech trailer, directed by Tom Hooper. It’s a bold movie with a talented cast that includes my favorites such as Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter.
The movie is about the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. Once his brother abdicates, George ('Bertie') reluctantly assumes the throne. Beleaguered by a blatant stutter and considered unfit to be king, Bertie engages the help of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue. Through a set of unexpected techniques, and as a result of an unlikely friendship, Bertie is able to find his voice and boldly lead the country into war.
I find it interesting though that the movie has an R rating for offensive language.
