Giveaway -- The Beatles Documentary
July 19th 2010 21:33
It was a long and winding road – professionally and personally – for one of music’s greatest, most beloved bands. Now journey into the lives of The Fab Four post-mania in Parting Ways: An Unauthorized Story on Life After The Beatles.
I popped this documentary into my little television in my office to play it while I worked. The documentary was so good that I could get my work done. I had to watch the DVD.
Parting Ways explores Lennon’s work with Yoko Ono; McCartney’s solo career and decade as front man of Wings; Harrison’s music with The Traveling Wilburys and his work as a film producer; and Starr’s solo albums as wells as pursuit of acting.
Partying Ways begins with John Lennon, whose career after The Beatles was more intriguing than the other three. Not because of his death, but because of his social reform activities, visual art work and music. The whole movie raised my respect for these talented musicians, who like to play music.
With that said, Screenhead has four copies of the treasured DVD to give away. Please post your name and email address here. They will pick the winners August 9, 2010.
