Sofia Coppola's Somewhere takes place at the famous Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood as seen in the poster. Funny though, I could swear it’s been changed to an apartment complex. If I am not mistaken, I have been there visiting with a friend of a friend. I was told that Marilyn Monroe stayed at the room that is now an apartment.
Anyway, the movie stars Stephen Dorff as a "bad-boy actor" wavering through life. His overindulgence at the luxury hotel is obviously his downfall, but an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter, played by Elle Fanning (Dakota’s sister), forces him to reconsider his life.
