Roy Rogers Rides Again
June 15th 2009 14:51
Rogers personified the heartland and family values as the top Western box office star from 1943-1954. According to Variety, Rogers made more than 88 films with Evans and Trigger; produced and starred in 100 episodes of his own TV show; and appeared on more than 400 licensed items, with 120 million comic books sold.
The iconic of Roy Rogers will ride again on the big screen as a feature film trilogy called King of Cowboys. The concept includes animated TV, interactive game and merchandising products.
The franchise will form to attract a new audience while maintaining the millions of Roy Rogers fans worldwide. The concept will be a nontraditional Western leaning toward a fantasy adventure with Roy Rogers, Dale Evans and Trigger as the classic figures.
This idea should prove interesting and I look forward to seeing how this idea develops.
