Ride Around the World is the 2007 winner of “Best Documentary” at the Western Heritage Awards and the 2007 winner of the “Gold Medal” at the Park City Film Music Festival. This critically acclaimed documentary, which enjoyed a national theatrical release, was supported by a national print advertising campaign in America’s Horse magazine and on several horse enthusiasts’ websites.
My daughter loves horses. So when I sat down to watch this award-winning documentary, Ride Around the World, I had no idea I was going to get a lesson in the history of the cowboy and horses.
I learned that cowboy jargon derived from Spanish cowboys. The life cowboys live even today is rural and serene. I never knew how far back they go in history.
