This year's Academy Awards ceremony will take place February 27, 2011 from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. James Franco and Anne Hathaway will host.
A few surprises for me, such as Nicole Kidman and James Franco. I am delighted to see The Illusionist nominated for Best Animated Feature.
The Oscar nominations were presented by Mo'Nique, winner of last year's Oscar for best supporting actress for her role in Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire, and Tom Sherak, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, early this morning from the organization’s Beverly Hills headquarters.
The other movies up for nominations for best movie are 127 Hours, Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The Kids Are All Right, The Social Network, Toy Story 3, True Grit, and Winter's Bone.
The King's Speech grandly leads the race for the 83rd Academy Awards with 12 nominations, including best picture, directing, original screenplay and actor for Colin Firth.
For a complete list of nominations you can head over to the Oscars official site and enjoy the official presentation:
