Carla Gugino Will Work With Penguins

Carla Gugino will star with Jim Carrey and six penguins in the family movie Mr. Popper's Penguins. Mark Waters will direct the film, which is a modern version of the much-loved 1938 Florence Atwater’s classic children's book.
According to Variety, the story focuses on Mr. Popper, a high-powered, New York business man. He unexpectedly inherits six penguins. Taking care of the animals is no easy matter, and he quickly hits major hurtles, both at home and at work. But along the way, he learns the value of family and friendship--human and otherwise.
No word on the part Gugino will play. Perhaps, she’ll be the love interest of Mr. Popper. But, you will see her in Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch, which is quite a different role.
