Shannon Nabs a Couple of Roles

Michael Shannon landed a couple roles in the movies Machine Gun Preacher and Premium Rush.
Preacher is the Gerard Butler starrer, which is based on the true story of Sam Childers, a once violent drug-dealing biker who went on to spend time in the most dangerous parts of Sudan and Uganda rescuing the youngest victims of war. Shannon will play Childers' friend Delane.
The screenplay is by Jason Keller with Marc Forster the director.
Then, Shannon will start work on Premium Rush. A story that follows a New York bike messenger (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who picks up an envelope at Columbia University, only to be chased throughout the city by a dirty cop (Shannon) desperate to get his hands on it.
David Koepp wrote the screenplay with John Kamps, who will direct the film.
Shannon’s most recent role was in the movie The Runaways, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.
