The Real Mao's Last Dancer Speaks
September 25th 2010 05:55
Mao’s Last Dancer, the inspirational drama from Academy Award nominated director Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Tender Mercies), looks like a movie that stands above other movies that are rather explosive, sexual or deviant. The movie continues to receive high acclaim from moviegoers across the country. Check out this latest interview of Li Cunxin on The Today Show with Ann Curry where she proclaims that Mao’s Last Dancer is one of the best films she has ever seen!
When the interview cuts to the dancer’s photographs, his body is an instrument. I don’t even think a bodybuilder could get such definition.
Mao’s Last Dancer is now playing in selected theaters throughout the States.
Also, those lucky enough to be in the NYC area this weekend will have a chance to hear Li Cunxin comment on the film and his experience in person! The showing of MAO’S LAST DANCER tonight at 7pm and Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 4:15pm at The Paris Theatre in NYC will include a post-screening Q&A session with Li Cunxin! It’s a rare opportunity that can’t be missed!
