Movie Roar - Hear the Movies Roar!

Universal Pictures History of Horror

December 3rd 2009 02:07

The Wolfman will be in the movie theaters early 2010 and from the looks of it the movie is sure to be a classic. Some of you might not know is that Universal has a legacy of 86 years of horror movies.

Although some us may recall the classics like the original The Wolfman with Lon Chaney or Dracula with Bela Lugosi and others, a lot of film goers may not know about their history of Universal when it comes to horror. Universal deserves a bow for bringing the horror genre to the film industry. Just think we may never have had monster movies if Universal hadn’t hired Lon Chaney to play The Wolfman.

Universal established a very awesome website that defines the history of the horror genre. It’s worth a look into the past no matter how scary it may seem. Click here to visit the site.
