Goyer's Trilogy Brought by Warner Bros.

David Goyer worked on Batman films and doctored other scripts like resurrecting Superman. According to Empire Magazine, this could be the reason Warner Bros. has plunked down some money to buy the rights to Goyer’s science fiction novel trilogy.
Heaven’s Shadow is the first book, which Goyer is writing with Michael Cassutt. The book is scheduled to hit the streets in July 2011 with Heaven’s War and Heaven’s Fall coming out respectively.
Goyer’s story begins with an unidentified object headed through space, aimed straight at Earth. There is a worldwide panic that turns into a competition between governments.
The game is to see which state can reach what scientists think might be a meteor chunk. When the astronauts reach the thing and discover the truth, alien forces, alarms sound. Red alert!
Goyer’s deal consists of him adapting Heaven’s Shadow as the first script and he also produces the film, and there’s no word on if he’ll direct.
