Mike Nichols Considering Great Hope Springs

The Wrap via Empire Magazine posted online that Mike Nichols may direct Great Hope Springs. The drama-comedy has generated some strong interest of late, with Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges in talks to bring their talents to the lead roles of a couple trying to solve the marital problems.
I first read in one of the trades that I Am Sam’s Jessie Nelson was attached to take the director’s chair. It appears that Nichols is interested in taking the helm because of the quality cast.
It’s the sharpness of Vanessa Taylor’s script that has everyone lining up to work on the film.
