First Class Takes Friday's Box Office

X-Men: First Class kept to its title by coming in first for Friday’s box office with $21 million. Even on Thursday’s midnight run the actioner took in $3.27 million, which is more than Thor’s midnight run of $3.25 million.
The second place winner was The Hangover Part II taking in $10.5 million. Next in line was Kung Fu Panda 2 taking in $6.25 million.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides took fourth with $5.1 million. Interestingly, On Stranger Tides surpassed the franchise's first feature's entire run with $700 million in the treasure chest so far.
Bridesmaids rounds out Friday's top five with $3.6 million.
