Fast and Furious #5 in Development

The fifth installment of Fast and Furious is coming to the big screen as Fast Five. The title might change through the course of development, but for now it’s Fast Five.
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and director John Lin return to the franchise. The fourth installment was the highest-grossing Fast and Furious film ever. Its box office brought in more than $350 million worldwide. That’s a good reason to do number five.
The story finds Dom (Diesel) and Brian (Walker) as fugitives being pursued by relentless lawmen. So, they have to drive fast and furious to get away.
The plans are to begin production later this year for a 2011 release.
