Sam Worthington is Going Surfing in Drift
August 25th 2010 03:23
Sam Worthington is going back to the down under because he is set to star in a new indie film. The film will take him back to his stomping grounds of Western Australia. The West Australian says Worthington will return home and star in Drift, a surfing-centric drama.
Worthington will play a photographer and journalist influential in the evolution of surfing from a pastime to a global industry. I hear that Worthington is passionate about surfing, so I can see why he’d do the movie in his homeland.
Drift is supposed to start shooting in the fall of next year to profit from some of the most killer waves and the Margaret River Pro surfing event. Sydney based director Morgan O'Neill with sports specialist Ben Nott will be helming the project.
