Daniel Radcliffe to Play an Amateur Photographer

Christopher Monger has nabbed Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the popular school boy in J.K. Rowling’s wizard stories, to play the lead in his independent film called The Amateur Photographer. Monger wrote the script, which he adapted from his own novel.
The 1970-set story centers on a young man (Radcliffe) who realizes his artistic calling after being drafted by the locals of a sleepy little New England mill town to serve as photographer of their most intimate moments.
To catch up with Radcliffe and his career of late, he finished filming a thriller called The Woman in Black, which some are billing as a horror movie, and is returning to Broadway in How to Succeed in Business with Really Trying in March 2011. The last Harry Potter movie opens July 15, 2011.
