Mel Looking at 'Cold Warrior' with Shane

Mel Gibson is taking a look at starring in Universal Pictures' spy thriller Cold Warrior. I think this is great because the project reunites Gibson with Lethal Weapon scribe Shane Black. Black is directing the picture. Shane Black is dearly missed.
The movie comes from a script by Chuck Mondry. The story focuses on a spy from the Cold War era. He comes out of retirement to team with a younger agent from the new school. The new school specializes in domestic terrorism threat orchestrated by Russia. I could find any thing on Mondry, so this could be his first script close to production.
Gibson’s Edge of Darkness opens Friday. He recently completed production on Jodie Foster's Beaver.
