Efron, Cast and Director of 'Me and Orson Welles' on Rose
December 8th 2009 20:27
Richard Linklater, Zac Effron, Claire Danes and Christian Mckay were on ‘Charlie Rose’ last night to discuss their new film Me and Orson Welles.
Director Linklater on where the movie comes from:
“It comes from a wonderful novel by Robert Kaplow, a wonderful little historical fiction set in 1937, very charming. You know, the historical aspects of it are very historical, all the names, everything that happens in the movie is a historical recreation of this moment in Welles life.”
Danes on Orson Wells:
“I learned about Orson Welles in college. I went to Yale, and English class in my freshman year my professor screened Citizen Kane for us and I ended up writing a term paper on it. I have no idea what I wrote about. But I watched it for -- yes, fast forward and rewound that movie many times.”
If you missed last night’s interview, catch it again tonight on BLOOMBERG TELEVISION at 8PM and 10PM ET, or listen to the interview simulcast on Bloomberg Radio. Bloomberg Radio is broadcast on 1130AM in the New York Metropolitan area and is available on XM and Sirius.
