$16 Million for 'Transformers 2' in Midnight Runs

Variety reported that Paramount's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen brought in an estimated $16 million in midnight runs, making the Michael Bay film the second best movie ever after The Dark Knight that brought in $18.5 million in midnight showings with the benefit of opening on a Friday.
