Eclipse All-Time Highest-Grossing Midnight Run

Twilight’s Eclipse is officially the all-time highest-grossing movie for midnight runs. The franchise’s third outing scored massive figures Tuesday night, with more than $30 million at some 4,000 engagements.

Appropriately titled, Eclipse surpassed Twilight predecessor New Moon ($26.3 million) for the late-night crown.

As a comparison, The Dark Knight grossed $18.5 million on its midnight run.
