'Black Swan' for Portman

Darren Aronofsky's teaches a fine lesson of perseverance with the success of The Wrestler has brought back to life his 2007 project Black Swan, which soon will be taking flight with a recent rewrite and Natalie Portman attached to play the lead.
Swan is a supernatural thriller set in the world of New York City ballet, following a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself fixed in a competitive situation with a rival dancer. The stakes and twists increase as the dancers approach a classic performance. But it's unclear whether the rival is a supernatural apparition or if the protagonist is purely delusional.
Those who have read the script the story is a spine-tingler with elements of The Others, the Nicole Kidman breakout in which viewers are left to discern what's real and what's imagined.
It’s probable that production will start this year if a sale happens before too long because Aronofsky has not committed to Robocop yet, even though it’s ready to go.
The fact that Aronofsky is still working on Black Swan means he’s a strong artist who knows what he wants to deliver to the public.

The Wrestler was an excellent film. This sounds like a promising project.
