BBC's Luther 2 Comforts Intellect

Watching a BBC series is comforting while tickling your intellect. I am excited to tell you about British series Luther 2, which is now available where DVDs are sold.
The dark psychological drama starring Emmy nominee Idris Elba as John Luther, the near-genius detective struggling with his own demons, returns with two distinctive, thrilling crime stories. His old unit has gone and he's working in the newly created Serious and Serial unit, headed by former police complaints officer Martin Schenk (Dermot Crowley). Luther quickly gathers together his team, rescuing his old partner Detective Justin Ripley (Warren Brown) from uniform, and it's not long before they're dealing with their first case. Crackling with energy and beautifully shot this series sees Luther take bigger risks and face even darker challenges.
A masked man wanders the streets of London, carrying out ritualistic murders in historic locations, working his way up to one final masterpiece. At the same time Luther’s trying to rescue Jenny, an old acquaintance’s daughter from the seedy world of prostitution. But his mission to give Jenny a new start in life comes with a high price and he’s caught between breaking the rules and the mobsters that run the world of prostitution in London. And then, of course, there is Luther’s ongoing alliance with the beautiful psychopath Alice Morgan (Ruth Wilson) to consider… Crackling with energy and beautifully shot, this series sees Luther face the question: What if your worst enemy was your own conscience?
Idris Elba was honored at the 42nd NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special. The original miniseries was called “terrific” by USA Today, and Variety said that “… there haven't been many recent offerings in this genre on either side of the pond superior to Luther.”
I read two great Luther 2 reviews by TVshowsonDVD.com and Insomniac Entertainment.
