Barney’s Version will have a Gala presentation at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, The movie is based on the celebrated book by Mordecai Richler and directed by Richard J. Lewis (making his feature debut).
After watching the trailer, I want to see the movie, it looks delightfully funny
I love this cast, which includes Paul Giamatti, Rosamund Pike, Dustin Hoffman, Jake Hoffman (his son), Minnie Driver, (the late) Maury Chaykin and Bruce Greenwood.
The story is about an aging TV producer (Giamatti) who is accused of a variety of scandalous doings like murder in an autobiography. He decides to write his own memoir, thus the title of the movie, to set the record straight about his life and loves.
