Avatar - Year's Top-Selling Home Entertainment Title

James Cameron’s Avatar is already the year's top-selling home entertainment title after only four days since its release.

Public at large bought up 6.7 million copies of the first Avatar DVDs and Blu-ray Discs, which are 2D versions of the action fantasy offering no bonus features.

Not surprisingly for me Avatar sales quickly outpaced the 6.5 million units sold of The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

I can’t wait until the special edition version of the James Cameron epic in the last quarter of the year. That version includes special features of the sort normally included on home entertainment discs.

I might even wait to purchase my own Avatar until the 3D Blu-ray version of the movie is released early next year.
