Avatar on Empire's Cover

The next issue of Empire magazine features James Cameron’s 3D epic Avatar. You can take a gander at two more pictures from the film that are accessible online. The first picture shows the movie’s villain, Stephen Lang’s strong-hold, militant and literally battle-scarred Col. Miles Quaritch, piloting a human battleship known as the Dragon. The second picture shows Sigourney Weaver in her human appearance as Dr. Grace Augustine, a human scientist who works with Sam Worthington’s Jake Sully on the alien planet of Pandora. If you’ve seen the Avatar trailer or preview at IMAX theaters, then you know this is probably one of the most expected films this year to blow us away. The film opens December 18, 2009.
