The bad guys kill Charly Mattei, nothing is wrong with that. But shoot the dog?
With that said, Charly will come back to life with 22 bullets in his body. I am sure the cute little dog will come back to life as well. If not, the animal humane groups will be all other this production.
The idea is that nobody kills Charly until he says so, leaving the masked men plenty of reason to regret their actions, including shooting the dog.
22 Bullets is French director/screenwriter Richard Berry's take on The Immortal, an account of the life and near death of Marseille mafiosi Jacques Imbert.
