Robert Pattinson in Bel Ami is based on Guy de Maupassant's famous novel of the same name. The story follows ex-soldier and womanizing dandy Georges Duroy (Pattinson) as he sleeps his way up the social ladder in 19th century Paris. The movie also stars Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas as Pattinson's high society conquests.
